With Canada Day and the 4th of July being right around the corner, it only seemed right to show off our best celebration bbq inspiration!

I am so glad Etsy exists, from home decor, to office must haves, jewellery and more, Etsy is where it's at! Here are some of my favourite pieces from Etsy! https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/593396200/as-for-me-and-my-house-we-will-serve?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=salsa%2024:7&ref=sr_gallery-1-18cover?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=journal&ref=sc_gallery-1-1&plkey=adf373204156be8fc79fbec01c81956123fea62c:602357882serve?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=salsa%2024:7&ref=sr_gallery-1-18 A cozy patio can make your summer so much better, and can even encourage you to get outside a little more, here are some of my favourite patio looks! When it comes to a rainy day (sans kids) it's almost like an automatic spa day, as it can be so relaxing, and of course guilt free. Here are our favorite rainy day activities! 1. Relax in a hot, hot, hot bath 2. Practice Calligraphy 3. Read a book 4. Organize your life and schedule 5. Yoga!
If we rewind almost six months to making resolutions for the New Year, one of mine was to do more yoga! I definitely have done more yoga this year than in past years, but need to get back to it a little more, I've seemed to let life get in the middle of my mat and I!
The thought of doing yoga in a class, makes me cringe a little bit, not to mention the price point, so all of my yoga is done right in my home, at the perfect price ;) When I started doing yoga I had a couple apps that were pretty good, but I absolutely ADORE "Yoga with Adriene" on youtube as it feels like she is instructing right there. There are so many different types of yoga challenges and sets on her channel, from from beginner (me!!) to specific stretches for injuries, etc and more. So, if you are interested or wanted to do more yoga, be sure to check the videos out here! I am going to challenge myself to get back to the mat and take a little time! ONEHOPE Wine is an award winning winery in Napa, California but that is definitely not what had us absolutely hooked on it! We couldn’t help but become intrigued with the name, and prior to checking them completely out, assumed with a name like ONEHOPE, that they donated a portion of sales to a cause. We were so wrong. ONEHOPE Wine has donated over three million dollars to date to causes like pets, environment, hunger, children, education, health care, women, veterans and more! We are so pleasantly surprised by the amount of funds and causes ONEHOPE has donated to. For more info, check them out here! Travel is by far one of my favorite parts of life, and is a great way to click reset on life, here are my best tips for travelling when you are busy, whether it be pin pointed research, packing, getting away from your phone and work and more!
1. A good google search for flights is my go to, those budget sites are not a friend of mine, mostly because of all the popups and signups. I have found awesome flight deals via Google Flights and my homework is just googling the surrounding airports too. The major key to booking flights online is clearing your browser history or going on an incognito tab, this keeps the prices from heavily increasing from each search! Busy Girl Tip: If you can, mid week flights and early/late flights are money savers! Busy Girl Tip: #2 Save yourself time and book when you find a good price, tickets are ever going to be so cheap and researching for hours for something that probably doesn't exist is just not worth it! 2. Have a preferred website or two, for booking hotels, again this saves time, and can get you sweet deals as far as their points systems go. My go to is always https://trvl.com?referral_code=a5jOINLW as they get almost all of their bookings from Expedia and have awesome refferal deals for both myself and the person booking, meaning more travel money! 3. When it comes to packing, travel bags are a MUST as you can fit double the clothes, everything is organized and compact. the icing on the cake for using travel bags, is you can almost always fit what you need in a carry on because of it, saving you money from not having to check a bag, and then of course time when you can just zip straight out of the airport! 4. To save time and get the absolute most out of your trip, always, always, always have hotel, shuttle, etc written down and a fairly good understanding of where you are going, this is a major key and can definitely be overlooked. 5. While being a tourist and finding little gems is fun and something you definitely shouldn't give up, researching the area and having a bit of a plan is a major must for utilizing your time there. 6. Remember to enjoy the moment, your phone and apps CAN wait and really should, that way you can take in everything! If you are missing work and needed for calls, or what have you, try planning all of those in one section of the day. There ya have it, now let's get traveling! If you are like us and have caught the travel bug, we are challenging you to the A-Z Travel Destinations! For me, switching up my phone background/wallpaper is no easy task, and I almost always change it back to my usual one because change is scary, right?! Well, when the time comes to replace it, here are some great options! While I am still practising my calligraphy skills, check out these decor pieces for major inspo (must.keep.practicing) |
