Hey everyone! If you caught last weeks lifestyle blog post, you know how excited I am for today’s blog post. Blogging about travel is one of my favourite topics, and I am thrilled to share my winter travel plans, and super excited to do them as well!
This winter we are being adult-ish and instead of dashing off to avoid the full Canadian winter, we will just be gone during christmas/winter break! While I am a little hesitant to see snow, I think it will all make the two week holiday a little sweeter! This Christmas/winter break we will be in Panama City (Panama) and I am thrilled to be able to scratch off a new continent, enjoy good weather, a new city, eats, and of course a little shopping! Here is my Panama City Bucket List, so far. • Panama Canal (of course) • Casio Viejo (chic boutiques, trendy restaurants & night life) • Bio Museo (colourful museum) • Ancon Hill (hike that overlooks PC) • Amador Causeway (2km manmade oceanfront walkway) • Albrook Mall (700 stores, and the 16th biggest mall!) • Metropolitan Park (wildlife park, with great views!) • Panama Viejo (first European settlement anywhere along the Pacific) • Cinta Costera (8km long waterfront path) • Peach Fuzz International (apparently the best seafood ever!) If you are looking for a winter trip, or hotel for your trip, check out my favourite travel source here.

I definitely am a lover of fall, and absolutely adore fall decor, bring on the pumpkins and flannel! Traveling is on my mind and with that comes packing, having to tote around a big suitcase is something I avoid at all costs, and I love being able to easily unpack too so I can enjoy my holiday the most. Here are just a few of my favourite packing hacks, that can have a big impact on your suitcase! I cannot wait for nexts week Lifestyle Post where I share my winter travel plans!
I absolutely love blogging about TRAVEL, and today is all about my most recent trip, and packed full of tips. If you’ve not been to Seattle, it’s great for a long weekend trip, let’s get right into it! Transportation: Seattle is a very user friendly city with its layout and attractions, all but the Zoo is walkable, and even the zoo is easy to get to! We relied on walking, the bus, mono rail and sound transit for the longer trips (airport, bus station, etc). Attractions: Pike Place Market & Gum Wall Wheel & Pier 1st & Pike Starbucks, Starbucks Reserve Zoo Aquarium Museum of Pop Culture Chihuly Glass & Gardens Space Needle Argosy Cruise Hotel: find your perfect hotel here
Pro tip- the Seattle City Pass is a great way to see the attractions and fill your day up, it’s also a great way to save the dollars! We ended up getting a City Pass for $90 each and were able to use it at the Aquarium, Museum of Pop Culture, Space Needle, Argosy Cruise & Chihuly Glass & Garden! Seattle was such a fun getaway, with the Chihuly Glass & Gardens being my top pick as the artwork was AMAZING! I hope you enjoyed a little inside scoop on Seattle! *WARNING* After reading this post you may feel a sudden urge to redecorate and maybe even renovate! Blame Pinterest! Popsockets are both helpful and trendy all while adding a little color and personalization to your phone, check out my favorites here! I absolutely love travelling and exploring in new places, what I don't love quite so much is pulling around a big and heavy suitcase, that comes with extra fees as well! I am definitely going to be a carry on suitcase girl only for my next trips! Here are some favorite carry on suitcases that make whizzing around easy! The topic trend of this week is all about brands that give back, today we feature three lifestyle brands! Yuhme is a brand that is all about water, they sell super cute bottles and for each bottle sold, a person in need in Central African Republic gets 6 months of water! A great way to get a product and give something important, at no cost to you, a win win. Be My Rose is so much more than wedding flowers, they are all about Fairtrade and opportunities, from giving 10% back to their farmers, family and communities, to laundry services for their workers (so they can easily get it done, rather than the home alternative), dental care and good food! We can get on board with this! Woodsi not only offers fashionable sunglasses to consumers but for every pair sold, a tree is planted, a win win if you ask me! Now something super adult-y, TAXES! 1040.com gives $2 from every order of filed taxes to clean water projects, you have to do your taxes anyway, so why not do a little good while you do! If you’ve enjoyed learning about these companies that do good, sit back for #fashionfriday where we source the best fashion brands that GIVE BACK, see you tomorrow!
This year is absolutely flying by, and with life happening at such speed, it's so easy to get whirled away and forget completely about the little and big things, and especially some of your "life to do list", along with New Year Resolutions! So take a moment, to do a little mid year resoulitions, and perhaps get back on track if necessary, some of my favorite methods. |
