Hey beauties! Today is all about up do's because let's face it, I rock a messy bun A LOT, I also have pretty thick hair and constantly am snapping hair elastics, which I'm sure is a common occurrence for many girls out there, but I've found a solution! Introducing Hair Slinky, the awesome little hair tie that keeps everything where it should be, can be boiled back to shape, and doesn't hurt to take out either. Hair Slinky is a Canadian based company (which I love even more now that I'm back in Canada)
While I've been on my last hair elastic for a while now, and it was beyond wrecked, I've just found a whole bunch while I was spring cleaning, and even the brand new ones are no match for HS. Besides leaving your hair where it's meant to be, no tangles or dents, the hair slinky also lasts forever (given you don't lose it!) because it goes back to its normal shape when boiled, making it a pretty affordable way to rock a pony, braid or bun, or any other up do! Take a look at their easy to use and pretty website here, and say goodbye to floppy and sad up do's! Coffee isn't just a morning saviour, it can also be a skin saviour, these coffee scrubs are great for exfoliating and leaving your skin smooth as silk. Spring nails are definitely one of my favorite themes, I love the floral and brighter colors, here are some of my favorites to inspire your next nail appointment. It's Beauty Tuesday, and while we would love to jump on a plane and head to a handful of destinations, we are letting our beauty products do that instead! And, away we go! First is the Dead Ski Mud Mask, this mask is great for absorbing excess oils, dirt and toxins, and at $15 this mask is a great option for all. More details on this mask here. iceland volcanic exfoliator https://bioeffect.co.uk/volcanic-exfoliator.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAv_HSBRCkARIsAGaSsrDsQksWyeJCNHJfN0unNPIAb7LFZaElaK0nx2Gg6JHTCDkURAMqWioaAh5jEALw_wcB# The rainforest hair care from Rahua are the key to healthy hair, but above all, our favorite thing about them is "All Rahua® products are vegan, organic, sulfate-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free and support indigenous economies." For even more details on Rahua, click here. The Verandi Body Scrub from Artic Beauty is packed full of vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals, this combo leaves your skin feeling hydrated and smooth, for more details click here. Now that we think about it,volcano and exfoliator really do go hand and hand, especially the Iceland Volcanic Exfoliator, grab the details here. There we have it, from the dead sea to the amazon, all in a scroll of a finger, we love that we are able to grab a piece of these destinations just be trying a product! Cosmetic Bags are must haves for almost everyone, they are especially great for travelling to keep everything safe and protected. If you're not the makeup type, they are still great for all your lotions and potions. Happy Beauty Tuesday! Sugar Scrubs are absolute must haves and can be a skin saviour, whether you DIY or buy, Here are some of our favorite store bought scrubs! Today we are reviewing four different brow products to identify which product feels, and works the best, while everyone has a different opinion and preference on their own brows. These products can certainly lend a hand to help you achieve your look. More Brows by Model Cosmetics is $20 and comes in two shades, on the website it’s described as a thickening fibre gel which is totally accurate. For me, the gel is not a great feeling, it’s also hard to apply and the end result (Model Cosmetics photo and mine) is very smooth and doesn’t show any individual hairs, which I don’t find ideal, at all. Up next is BROWSENSE by SeneGence, this is a two step system, and is pretty unique as far as what it can do! Browsense is a waterproof liquid brow color, lasting until you decide to take it off. It comes in four shades and has two tools with it- a fine brush and a spool brush. Browsense is great for not smearing and lasting all day, however putting it on also feels like all day, especially if you use the tools it comes with, while we like the spool brush, the fine (understatement, there) brush is painfully slow. At $20 a tube, it’s not worth it for everyday use, especially with the slow process, it does however help if you use a larger makeup brush. *cannot purchase directly off the website, must purchase through a SeneGence rep* The self propelling and self sharpening brow definer from MAC comes in 10 colors and is great for adding shape, coloring and density. For me, it’s worth the cost based on how well it works, it’s smooth and lasts quite a while too, the only downside is the occasional smear and being very careful to not go too bold/dark. Lastly, is the $3 basic brow pencil, results can vary with this one, but if your pencil is sharp, and you do very small marks imitating individual hairs, the result can be great, especially if you run a spool through your brows after. The only downside with this pencil is it can leave you with very bold brows, and smudges do happen. For me, the best result for brows is using the MAC brow definer with a sharp pencil being second! It's Beauty Tuesday and today is all about Valentines Day makeup, hair and nails to tie your entire look together, if you missed #fashionfriday, click here to catch up and see some amazing Vday Outfits!
When it comes to travelling, being prepared is so important and being prepared when it comes to packing beauty products can save you time, money and even product (it would be heartbreaking to have to leave an expensive product at TSA!) Between waking up early to get to the airport, long flights, transfers and time changes, the aromatherapy roller ball pack is a must, get more info here. Instead of buying travel sizes items or using hotel soap and condition, grab a pack of these travel sizes containers, allowing you to bring your favorite hair care items with you. Get yours here. And if you are a lipgloss junkie like me, grab these mini tubes to bring with you! Get yours here. On long flights especially, facial wipes are are a must hang item to stay refreshed. The combo of vacation and curly hair, means there will be a day or two that I will need dry shampoo as I won't want to wash and re do my hair, that is why a travel size dry shampoo is a life saver! Purfume is part of the entire look, but it's terrifying to travel with glass containers that could break and spill your favorite scent on all of your clothes, which is why I always opt for sample sized purfume, it's also a nice way to try out new purfumes for a couple dollars. When it comes to travelling and bringing your beauty products, what is an item you must have?! |
